How
does MGM charge for its services?
McGrath Group Management charges a
percentage of net receipts for its
services. Net receipts are defined herein
as total receipts from patient care less
refunds and checks that do not clear the
bank.
The
percentage that McGrath Group Management
charges is directly related to the scope
of work that we are contracted to
perform. We work with you to tailor and
customize our services to your particular
practice needs. That is, we will only
assume those duties and responsibilities
you need from us.Thus, we can avoid
duplication and redundancy of efforts and
maximize your existing staff and
technical resources. Further, these
responsibilities and assignments can
change over time (i.e., as result of
staff turnover, changes in support
requirements, etc.) in the future.
Accordingly, you directly influence the
total scope of MGM's services and the
related cost of our services to you.
Traditionally,
the rate for our professional services
varies depending on the medical specialty
and specific scope of services that are
provided. Naturally, we precisely quote
our billing fees based upon the final
scope of the work to be performed by
McGrath Group Management for your
benefit.
In
addition to the service fee, the
organization is also billed for the
postage used on its account. We utilize
the latest post office specification for
minimizing postage costs.However you
should note that these costs are directly
passed through to you at the rate MGM
actually incurs.Because we embrace so
much EDI, your actual postage costs
should be significantly reduced from the
current levels you are experiencing.
Again, there are
no other hidden costs (i.e., maintenance
fees, license fees, consulting fees,
etc.) associated with our services.
Finally,
you should note that our estimated costs
associated with the performance of your
services are also based upon the
implementation of certain performance
standards mutually agreeable to you and
to us. These performance standards
traditionally consist of accounts
receivable turnover, net collection rate,
revenue recovered from appeals, AR aging,
etc., types of performance criteria and
standards. We will assist you in the
preparation of the initial and ongoing
performance based standards that we will
use in order for you to continually
evaluate and monitor our services over
time. We believe that this approach
provides the ongoing communication and
evaluation tools for properly assessing
and evaluating our ongoing services and
value to you over time.
